Frequently Asked Questions
How do you calculate your SAT score?
Count how many you got right in each section and convert each count to a 200 to 800 section score, then add the two. On the digital SAT, College Board's conversion also weighs how hard the questions you got right were, so a calculator like this one gives an estimate.
How accurate is this SAT score calculator?
It runs on the same fixed table CuePrep uses to score its full-length practice tests, so it's an estimate, not an official score. It assumes you got the harder second module. Take a full practice test for a number built on your own answers.
Is there an SAT score chart?
For its paper practice tests, College Board publishes a chart turning questions right into a score. The digital SAT has no single chart, because its scoring accounts for question difficulty, so this calculator uses the fixed table CuePrep scores its own practice tests with.
What is the highest SAT score?
1600: 800 in Reading and Writing and 800 in Math.
How many questions do I need right for a 1500?
On this table, 51 of 54 in Reading and Writing plus 41 of 44 in Math is a 1500. So is 49 plus 43, or 54 plus 38: the mix can tilt toward your stronger section.
