Everything you need for SAT Math & Vocab

Every formula worth memorizing, every Desmos trick worth stealing, every word the test leans on, then the practice that turns all three into muscle memory.

What students are saying

Not another word list

Word lists don't move scores. Students memorize hundreds and still miss the questions. Every word in our deck is drafted the way the SAT tests it: tagged by tone, the look-alike trap named, every wrong answer explained.

Predicted

eschew

verb·neutral

One of 163 predicted words that repeat.

To deliberately avoid or stay away from something.

The monk chose to eschew all modern technology, living in a cabin with no electricity or running water.

RememberIt does not mean to chew or eat; it looks like a food word but is purely about avoiding things.

Tagged by tone

Every word is marked positive, negative, or neutral, so you can rule an answer out by how it feels before you even know it.

The trap, named

eschew reads like a food word. We say so on the card, because the look-alike is exactly what trips students up under time.

Spaced so it sticks

The daily set is scheduled, not shuffled. A word you were shaky on comes back tomorrow; a word you know cold isn't back for weeks. Spaced repetition is the only way 1,000 words stays learnable. Nothing quietly falls out.

Formula Sheet

Every formula worth memorizing, boiled down to one card each. Take the three quadratic forms: each one hands you a different answer for free.

Quadratic forms
Algebra
f(x)=ax2+bx+cf(x) = ax^2 + bx + c
Standard · yy-intercept =c= c
f(x)=a(xm)(xn)f(x) = a(x-m)(x-n)
Factored · xx-intercepts =m,n= m,\,n
f(x)=a(xh)2+kf(x) = a(x-h)^2 + k
Vertex · vertex =(h,k)= (h,\,k)

The SAT hides the form it wants. Learn all three and it can't. Opens up if a>0a > 0, down if a<0a < 0.

Know when to put it down

Desmos handles most of SAT Math. On the wrong question, reaching for it burns time you don't have. The other half of the skill is knowing which questions are faster in your head, and spotting them in the first few seconds.

Desmos on Autopilot

Stop solving by hand what the calculator can answer in one keystroke. The students who spike their Math score aren't faster at algebra. They've turned Desmos into muscle memory.

In the xy-plane, a circle passes through the points (0,0)\left(0,\,0\right), (6,0)\left(6,\,0\right), and (0,8)\left(0,\,8\right). What equation defines the circle?

  1. 1

    Type (0,0)\left(0,\,0\right), (6,0)\left(6,\,0\right), and (0,8)\left(0,\,8\right) into a table.

Three points appear on the graph.

  2. 2

Type the general circle as a regression: x12+y12+Dx1+Ey1+F0x_1^2+y_1^2+Dx_1+Ey_1+F \sim 0.

The expression list shows values for DD, EE, and FF.

  3. 3

    Read DD, EE, and FF.

D=6D=-6, E=8E=-8, and F=0F=0 give x2+y26x8y=0x^2+y^2-6x-8y=0 as the final answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do I need per day?

Most students spend 10-15 minutes a day, across as many topics as they want. Short, focused sessions beat long ones.

What does CuePrep cover right now?

Desmos tips that carry you through most of SAT Math: the exact calculator moves that turn hard problems into a few clicks. Plus the full formula sheet and a 1,000-word vocabulary deck for Reading & Writing. Question banks, full-length practice tests, and the rest of SAT Reading & Writing are coming soon.

Is there a set of vocab words that keep repeating on the SAT?

Yes. Our algorithm works out which words keep coming back, and those 163 are the predicted set. Far smaller than the vocab banks you're used to, and enough to get you the right answers.

Can Desmos solve every SAT Math question?

No, and knowing the difference is the real skill. Desmos handles more than 60% of SAT Math questions, usually faster than solving by hand. The rest are quicker with plain algebra, and reaching for the calculator there just burns time. That's exactly what we teach: which question types Desmos crushes, and when you're better off without it.

Is there a mobile app?

CuePrep works great on mobile browsers - just visit the site on your phone. Our native Android app is already available, and the iOS app is coming in 2026.
